What do you do on scorching hot days? Me? I stay inside in air conditioned bliss and craft the day away. Well, that's after all the household chores are done.
Today found me making a Christmas card. Why, you ask? I have new stamping goodies, that's why. The new Carols of Christmas stamp set from Stampin' Up! caught my eye along with the Card Front Builder Thinlits Dies that compliment the stamp set and I just couldn't resist. I didn't use the dies this time but you will be seeing those projects in the future.
My original idea for this card was to use traditional Christmas colors. As you can see, I changed my other mind. I love the way Lost Lagoon and Rich Razzleberry colors look so well together.
The Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge is a new one for me. One of my favorite types of challenges are the sketch
challenges. For me it's all about the layers and just what can I do
with them. They also afford me the opportunity to use up some of the patterned papers I have sitting on my shelf.
Stamp Set: Carols of Christmas (Stampin' Up!); Ink: Rich Razzleberry; Cardstock: Lost Lagoon, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White (all Stampin' Up!); Patterned Paper: Silent Night (kimemories); Other: Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies (Stampin' Up!), 1/4" Rich Razzleberry Cotton Ribbon (Stampin' Up!)
The sketch I used is from the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. For all the challenge details and to share your project, click the image below.
